The Magic Lucky Frame

Sparkling crystal or ancient doorknob? Magical colours and mysterious atmosphere

In the background, our second project is already running in secret at Futur3*clicks.
The magic frame of luck is on its way, but only to be found with luck and in a roundabout way.

We'll reveal more soon! In the meantime, there are hints for attentive followers on Instagram: Futur3*klicks

*clicks

In the future, information and contributions on digital theatre will be collected at Futur3*klicks from Futur3.
Since 2019, Futur3, with the support of the RheinEnergie Foundation, has been researching playful activities for the web to create a theatrical, digital stage. This is a topic that has gained in importance, not least due to the ongoing pandemic.

With *klicks, the Futur3 ensemble explores how its own theatre work can be consciously shaped and steered into the expanded public space - the digital space - and thus, of course, how new audiences can be won.
Is it possible to reach a generation of spectators or 'users' who do not (or no longer) visit theatres and temples of culture? How can theatre work be continued in the digital space?

Futur3 also wants to go innovative and experimental ways in this area. To this end, different digital applications are developed parallel to the theatre projects or subsequently, which accompany theatrical themes, complement them or continue the content:
playful, low-threshold, interactive

Rem_theBot

A chatbot performance

"When I woke up one morning from restless dreams, I found myself transformed into a bot."

Rem_theBot has suddenly woken up and lost his dream. It's a good thing that you click on the green speech bubble at the bottom right and go with him on a search for his lost dream.

Will you manage to find the dream again? Or must Rem_derBot remain dreamless forever? Let's go! He's already waiting for you eagerly! 🙂

Have fun!

Notes on use

You should take 20-30 minutes, because dream quests take time. Be sure to plug in your headphones and/or set the sound to loud.

If Rem_derBot gets impatient and leaves you (or you had something better to do in between and didn't get through to the end: with a simple "Hi" he can usually be restarted without any problems.
Rem_derBot tends to monologue (no wonder, he comes from the performance area, see also About the project below) - and when he's really in the flow, he doesn't like to be interrupted. So don't take it amiss if he only reacts to your messages with a roll of the eyes...

Be patient with him - he is my first bot: we are both still learning.

Please send applause and praise to rembot. futur3 @gmail.com (and, of course, critical comments).

Notes on data protection

Rem_derBot runs on the Flowxo programme - all the data you enter is stored there for three months. But: the data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. For technical optimisation, only information about your application (i.e. which browser is being used) and the time/date are stored. All the information you provide is voluntary.

About the project

Rem_derBot opens our new series Futur3*klicks:
With the support of the RheinEnergieStiftung, Futur3 is working for three years on playful activities for the net to create a theatrical, digital stage. A topic that has gained in importance not least because of the ongoing pandemic.
Rem_derBot is a spinoff of our theatre performance WE HAVE A DREAM, for which we dreamed and logged dreams together as an ensemble. Rem_derBot is left over.

You can find more information about WE HAVE A DREAM HERE!

SHIT ISLAND

A post-colonial South Seas dream.

Nauru is a tiny South Sea island. Its surface was covered metres thick with phosphate, which was created from bird droppings. Because of this raw material, the island experienced a rollercoaster ride through capitalism: indigenous tribal structure, German colony, richest country in the world, state bankruptcy. Today, the phosphate has been mined, the island devastated, the population overweight and sick. A refugee camp is the biggest source of foreign currency.

Based on ethnological studies and illustrations, colonial reports, South Seas camps and current reportages, SHIT ISLAND explores the entanglement of European imperialism and the staging of South Seas exoticism. For the demise of the former "Pleasent Island" also destroys our projection of a paradisiacal "perfect world".

The City of Turtles

No-go area

A new play by André Erlen and Klaus Fehling for the cultural festival Sommerblut.

In unpleasant encounters in the city, flight is often a better strategy than talking or fighting. The most efficient route is always the straight line from A to B. The aim of the parkour runners is to overcome the obstacles in their way, such as walls, houses or cars, as efficiently as possible. Director André Erlen and author Klaus Fehling let us see the city through different eyes - as a network of straight lines, as a training parkour with its own rules and heroes. One of them is the "Iron Man", who in a regular podcast not only gives tips and instructions for physical and mental exercise, but also calls on us to peacefully reclaim the city's no-go areas. Which face is hidden behind the voice of the "Iron Man" is a secret. Until a parkour-enthusiastic physiotherapist is called for a house call to a very special no-go area where the straight lines no longer have any meaning.

The unknown neighbour

a trilogy about death.

"The Unknown Neighbour" is a theatre project about death and dying anonymously. From the estate of an "Unknown Neighbour" who died without relatives, Futur3 develops a fictional biography and tells the course of his passing in three parts. The audience experiences "The Protocol of the Last Hours" (Part 1) in the midst of his legacy, arranges his "Feast of the Dead" (Part 2) in a funeral home and fathoms his last destination in the "Cabinet of the Afterlife" (Part 3).

Soft Core

a love story theatre by Futur3 and ensemble. Summer Blood Cultural Festival 2016.

They touch us. They captivate us. They make us cry and sometimes laugh. Some love them and others hate them. Love scenes - there is hardly a film without them. Again and again they feed our unbroken longing for fulfilled love.

Futur3 transfers the powerful visual worlds of the dream factories to the Cologne wholesale market with an inclusive ensemble. The old auction hall becomes a film studio, the street a set. In front of a running camera, moments of unconditional devotion and cool games flash up in close-up or close-up to explore the soft core of our existence from the most diverse perspectives.

To the Golden Life

Actions, campfire talks and performance for exit, entry, transition.

Futur3 follows the old dream of getting out, but this time to really make EVERYTHING better. For this, the performers embark on their own personal path to the Golden Life: What are my longings? How do I really want to live? What do I need for that and how do I free myself from all the excess, the huge ecological footprint, the haste, the constantly bad consumer conscience and all the worries?

One night in Afghanistan

a theatrical camp from Futur3.

Since December 2001, Germany has continuously been one of the largest troop contributors in Afghanistan. The international military mission in Afghanistan is supposed to create a secure environment and enable the reconstruction of democracy. But German military policy must fundamentally redefine itself and the Bundeswehr in view of this deployment! Futur3 takes up this urgently needed discussion about the military as a means of politics artistically and debates it publicly.

Chambre d'amis

a Swiss-German friendship spectacle by Antoine Jaccoud

A couple visits another couple. One couple is German and has adopted the beautiful French expression " chambre d'amis " for their " guest room " because it sounds so neutral. The other couple is from Switzerland. She knows the German from before - as students they used to swim naked in the lake together - and she also speaks a little German, unlike her partner. The four of them spend a weekend together. What to do? What to say? What to tell each other? How do you communicate when language multiplies our differences? And finally, how does one create and nurture this friendship that has always been considered the ideal relationship between people? This is what the play explores with a certain, even comic, cruelty, inviting the audience to take a seat for a moment as a friend between our two couples.
