BY ROMANA ROMANYSCHYN AND ANDRIJ LESIW / THEATRE VERSION BY FUTUR3 BASED ON THE CHILDREN'S BOOK OF THE SAME NAME.

Info text
In the small town of Rondo, three friends - Danko, Zirka and Fabian - live happily together. They talk to birds and plants or build special houses, like the unique greenhouse. In it, rare flowers grow from the most distant places on the planet: singing flowers!
The flowers give whole concerts in their greenhouse. But one day war comes and with war comes darkness. The flowers in the greenhouse no longer get enough light and are in danger of dying. Danko, Zirka and Fabian invent a light machine that brings hope back to the village and drives the war away. The play Als der Krieg nach Rondo (When War Came to Rondo ) is based on the Ukrainian children's book of the same name.
Poetically juxtaposing light, tenderness and music with darkness, harshness and muteness, Rondo makes it palpable that war not only leaves lasting wounds in its victims, but that it can affect anyone and ultimately always remains incomprehensible.
