a theatrical essay.
Life is a gift! The world is a light that man sees at birth. To be is good, not to be is bad. Death is terrible! We celebrate being, creating and making as if we wanted to run away from something....
But why is it actually better that something is rather than simply nothing? Maybe we should reconcile ourselves with nothingness? But - what is nothing? And if it is nothing, what is it? Based on Ludger Lütkehaus' book "Nichts - Abschied vom Sein - Ende der Angst" (Nothing - Farewell to Being - End of Fear), Futur3 's theatrical essay shakes up the intellectual-historical narratives of the Occident. To do so, they turn the Orangerie upside down, let objects speak and hymns resound. For how (in God's name) is one supposed to grasp nothingness in 90 minutes?

"NOTHING is the happiness of the enlightened pessimist, for nothing comes as close to happiness as NOTHING"
Ludger Lütkehaus, from "Nothing - Farewell to Being. The end of fear"
