Portable archives

An archive by Futur3 and Andreas Maria Fohr

An old canvas, next to it a lamp. Projected onto the screen is an image of the same lamp and the same screen from a different perspective.

As part of the Impulse Festival Academy 2021, Futur3 will show the first results of its self-archiving in exhibition format:

In Portable Archive , visitors can reactivate selected productions from over 20 years of theatre work from Futur3 . Boxes contain fragments and set pieces, performance "ground plans" as well as actor, event and context cards for each production - open for subjective interpretations, for new contexts of meaning within, between and outside the works.
In pairs, the visitors play for and with each other in order to activate the found material anew, to place it in their own contexts and to continue writing the past staging, subjectively and unpredictably.
